Akerselva river

Akerselva is 9.8 km long and offers, among other things, beautiful views, bustling wildlife, cafe life and a good workout.

Østensjø lake

Glassberget at Årvoll

Glassberget at Årvoll is an incredibly nice vantage point, with a view of large parts of central Oslo.

German hill (Korsvoll hill)

Korsvolltoppen was called Tyskertoppen after the Germans used the area for their artillery position. There were six cannons, and minefields around.

Åmotdammen is just under 15 minutes’ walk inland in Østmarka, with opportunities for swimming, fishing, and many nice walks further inland.
