About Østensjø lake

In the district Østensjø you will find Østensjøvannet, surrounded by residential areas such as Bogerud, Abildsø, Manglerud, Oppsal, Ulsrud, etc. The lake is considered one of Norway’s most species-rich for water and swamp vegetation, and this leads to a rich bird and animal life. The tributary comes from Smedbergbekken, Bølerbekken and Ulsrudbekken; and flows into the Alna River via Østensjøbekken.
